Bidding to host an international conference in India follows a clear sequence — from confirming your affiliation to appointing your delivery partners.
Before you bid
- Check whether your association is affiliated to an international organisation of the same discipline — if not, apply.
- Secure approval of your national body, including the cost of bid documents.

Prepare the bid
- Prepare a preliminary budget and assess feasibility.
- Form a steering committee.
- Secure the necessary clearances in principle from:
- Nodal Ministry
- Ministry of Home Affairs
- Ministry of External Affairs
Post-bid activities
- Inform ICPB, convert the steering committee into a National Organising Committee and open a secretariat.
- Inform the nodal and other ministries.
- Obtain offers from ICPB members.
- Study the offers and appoint the official carrier, professional conference organisers and hotel(s).
